Lily Ana Colonia, Esq.

Lily Ana Colonia began work with The Hawkins Center of Rubicon Programs of Richmond, CA in the fall of 2009.  She graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2005, double-majoring in Legal Studies and French and Francophone Studies.  In the spring of 2004, Lily Ana spent a semester studying French Literature at Université Michel de Montaigne, Bordeaux III and French Law at Université Montesquieu, Bordeaux IV, in Bordeaux, France.  She received her J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2009 with a concentration in Global Legal Studies.  She was distinguished with the Pro Bono Honors Award for providing over 1,000 pro bono hours to the indigent and immigrant community in San Diego, CA.  During the summer of 2007, Lily Ana studied International Law at Zhejiang University, Guanghua College of Law in Hangzhou, China and Université de Nice, Trotabas in Nice, France.  She was also a 2008 Equal Justice Works Summer Corps Member and spent the summer working on U-Visa, VAWA and Asylum cases.  Lily Ana is fluent in Spanish and French and enjoys baking, bowling, and traveling.
