Social Work Program
The Hawkins Center Social Work program provides supportive services around
non-legal issues affecting Hawkins Center clients. Supports include advocacy,
such as assisting with Social Security disability forms; information and
assistance in applying for and keeping income-maintenance benefits, and
information about and referral to many related social services in the Bay
Area, including accessing community based services such as mental health
treatment, medical treatment, and homeless services. When a client is experiencing
multiple challenges, the Hawkins Center social worker can provide case
management for on-going support in accessing services in the community.
