During the past year we have attempted to keep you apprised of legislative and policy developments affecting the Social Security disability programs and how these changes will affect both applicants and recipients. Other articles, such as this issue's cover story about the application process, focus on providing information about specific aspects of the Social Security disability program. We have sprinkled in articles discussing particular medical impairments and columns focusing on self-help and social support resources for people with disabilities. Each issue has included Inspirations, the story of an individual who has overcome adversity and disability to return to work. In this issue we have introduced a question and answer page, addressing specific concerns which many of our readers share.
